June 9: Cedar Rapids Run the Flood

COURSE LOCATION: Run the Flood offers 2 courses – a 7 mile course and a 5k course. Both courses weave through the downtown area of Cedar Rapids, giving participants a chance to see the recovery efforts and the work that remains from the flood.

INFO: June 10th marks the 3rd ’Give-a-Hoot 5K & LittleK’ benefiting Self-Help International. This event features a splendid 5K route along the scenic Cedar River in Waverly. The LittleK one mile loop is also back by popular demand. The event will have great t-shirts, enhanced timing, cool post-race goodies, and a family picnic on the river with games, crafts, and grill food. Most importantly, your effort will support Self-Help’s sustainable farming, child nutrition, and women’s micro-credit programs in Ghana and Nicaragua
