The 8th Annual Grant Wheeler Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday morning in late October — date to be announced soon. Thanks to excellent community support, generous sponsors, and Grant’s legacy of love, more that $81,000 has been raised since this race began. Since 2003, all proceeds have benefited an Endowment Fund in honor of Grant. This Fund awards scholarships annually to area senior cross country runners who display Grant’s positive characteristics of faith, encouragement, character and love. The race committee has awarded 21 scholarships since 2004. Your participation will help us increase the number and value of the scholarships awarded.
